RAPID SCAN COMPARISON

RAPID SCAN IS A FAST WAY OF ACQUIRING 3D SCAN DATA, NORMALLY IN A RESOLUTION COMPARED TO HD MODE

Terminology

White Light:

White Light scanning outdoes traditional laser scanning as it is less labour-intensive and less time-consuming. It projects line shadows onto the object and processes the variances from the contours of the shape. Then, it generates X-Y-Z coordinates using advanced algorithms to create the 3D object.

Blue Light:

It’s like White Light scanning, but better.

Because of it’s narrower wavelength Blue Light scanning is able to filter out any interference from the ambient light in the surrounding environment. This results in better quality scan outputs, as well as increased precision and accuracy compared to White Light.
